The importance of cultural heritage, the price of success, the bonds of friendship, and the power of true love are explored in this musical.

Bombay Dreams features music by A. R. Rahman, lyrics by Don Black, book by Meera Syal and Thomas Meehan, and is based on an idea by Shekhar Kapur and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
