Fun in the Sun

The story is based on a Down and out Hollywood Actor and his wife living in Malibu near Barbara Streisands home.I found the performance of Mary Beth Evans to be especially engaging She showed every nuance of Molly Schiff .From the pleaser trying to make her husband a nice meal ,TO the anger she felt towards her husband for not appreciating theyre life together . The love she showed Jerry letting him know he;s more than just a Hollywood Actor to her.. Mary Beth;s Evans performance was indeed a memorable one. .I was crying happy tears the majority of the evening. Will Green was enjoyable as well especially when he thought he was invited to Barbaras wedding.I would highly reccomend Barbaras Weddding for a fun night out at the Theater.

Have seen the play 4 times. Why do I go back - great performances by the cast. Interesting study on relationships brought to life by Mary Beth Evans and Wilson Green. It also helps that the play can be really funny at times.

Want to see again!

Loved the play. Barbras Wedding brings to head all the hidden conflicts that has been seething beneath the surface of the Schiff marriage in a comedic way. I was totally engaged watching the comedic talents of Mary Beth Evans. She shined in the role of Molly and had the audience in stitches. Wilson Green also had some funny moments. I highly recommend this play if you want to have an entertaining night out at the theater.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience

I thoroughly enjoyed this play. I love the way the mayhem of Barbras wedding is used to expose the long-buried conflicts between Jerry and Molly Schiff. The actors use the limited space very well and the physicality between the actors themselves and between the actors and the set is wonderful. The hour moves very quickly with fun dialogue, laugh out loud moments, and some surprisingly touching moments as well. Mary Beth Evans is wonderful as the wife at the end of her rope and it was fun getting to see her show her comedic skills. I definitely recommend this play to everyone.

Such a treat!

I thought this show was terrific on so many levels. First, the space was perfect for this type of show and the set design was spot on. Next, the play itself is funny, and its a really quick hour. But the best part was the performance of Mary Beth Evans as Molly Schiff. Who knew she was such the comedic actress? I sure hope we get to see more of this side of her acting -- it was a real treat!

RE:Incredibly Short ~ But Way Too Long!

Lost interest after the first 10 min. Husband actually nodded off 45 min. into it, still the same thing, and then it ended! This play consisted of a 1 hr. argument., between the two characters. I couldnt believe that in a hour, it was over. I commented "thats it??!" Hoping all the while that it surely was going to get better. But then realized that I wouldnt be able to take it, if it lasted any longer. You win some and you lose some!
