WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
When Eunice was a little girl, letters would come from Korea that made her mother cry. Now grown, pregnant, and back home with an attitude, she confronts her mother with a box of photos and a book of poetry?all that?s left of the past. The memories that unfold for her could be truth or fantasy, but juxtaposed with Eunice?s own life, they entangle her in mystery. Chay Yew directs this reading of Julia Cho's 99 Histories as part of South Coast Rep's 5th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival.
