WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
International City Theatre presents 4 Guys Named José... and una mujer named Maria. Jules Aaron directs the West Coast premiere of the Off Broadway musical-comedy revue about five Latinos living in Nebraska who find that, although from different countries (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Puerto Rico), they share a common musical heritage. Darryl Archibald is musical director.
The four Josés meet at an Omaha, Nebraska Taco Bell and discover their common musical roots. They plan a Latin song and dance show to be produced at the local VFW, and when una mujer named Maria unexpectedly shows up, a little picante spice is added to the mix.
