As Glee prepares to make its grand exit from Fox, a new musical series is positioning itself to fill the gap — and the CW is taking up the reins. According to reports, Tony nominee and screenwriter of the popular show biz-themed film Camp Todd Graff is developing a new musical drama series for the teen-focused network with Scooter Braun.

The untitled series (a Warner Bros. Television entry) will be set in the world of world of music, entertainment, and social media, chronicling the rise of a brilliant young manager named Gary Graham who has the talent and ambition to shake up the industry. His challenge will be to stay true to himself while outmaneuvering the roadblocks put in place by clients, lovers, and colleagues. The show will feature original songs as well as cameos from some of the biggest names in pop culture.

Graff, who earned a Tony nomination for his performance in the 1983 musical Baby, will pen the script and executive-produce alongside Tony Krantz via his Flame Ventures production banner. Braun, owner of School Boy Records and Raymond-Braun Media Group and manager of pop icons including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Carly Rae Jepsen, will also executive-produce via his SB Films unit. Flame's Drew Comins and SB's Danny Rose will co-executive-produce, as well.
