John Stamos, Weird Al, Ingrid Michaelson to Star in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

The iconic film will come to life at the Hollywood Bowl.

John Stamos (Fuller House) will return to the stage as Willy Wonka in an upcoming Hollywood Bowl concert version of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Variety reports that the November 3-4 concerts will be titled Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl: A Live-to-Film Celebration.

Stamos will be joined by Finn Wolfhard (It) as Charlie Bucket, with "Weird Al" Yankovic as the Oompa Loompas, Elle King as Veruca Salt, Giancarlo Esposito as the Candy Man, Ingrid Michaelson as Mrs. Bucket, and Richard Kind as Grandpa Joe.

The concert will feature the classic film score by Anthony Newley, Leslie Bricusse, and Walter Scharf, performed live on stage with the band DeVotchka and a musical ensemble conducted by Jeff Hoeppner. DeVotcka's Nick Urata will serves as music director for the show. Carter Armstrong serves as music supervisor for the show, with Mark "Swany" Swanhart serving as choreographer.
