Tony-winning Broadway favorite Neil Patrick Harris will headline the new Netflix adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Harris will take on the role of Count Olaf in the new series, which is still in development and without a set timeline. The series will be eight episodes long, with direction by Barry Sonnenfeld, according to published reports. Joining Harris in the company are TV favorite Patrick Warburton as Lemny Snicket, with Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes as two orphans who are placed in the care of Olaf when their parents are killed under mysterious circumstances.

Harris won a Tony for his performance in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch. His stage credits also include Rent, Proof, Assassins, and Cabaret. He is perhaps best known for his work on the television series' How I Met Your Mother and Doogie Howser, M.D.
