Mandy Patinkin Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored actor Mandy Patinkin with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on February 12. The star (No. 2,629) was placed at 6243 Hollywood Boulevard next to the Pantages Theatre.

Patinkin is best known on Broadway for his performances in Evita, Sunday in the Park With George, The Secret Garden, and The Wild Party. He currently plays Saul Berenson on Showtime’s hit series Homeland.

The event was emceed by Vin Di Bona, with appearances by Patinkin's longtime friend and Evita costar Patti LuPone, as well as Homeland vet Rupert Friend.

"Mandy Patinkin is one of the entertainment world’s greatest assets," said Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. "He has entertained us on the big and small screens as well as on many theatrical stages. We are proud to add him to the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
