Lena Hall will reprise her Tony-winning performance as Yitzhak in the national tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She will also take on the title role in the musical during her run.

Hall will play Yitzhak opposite Darren Criss as Hedwig at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco (October 2-30) and the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles (November 1-27). In a rare and historic twist, she will take on the role of Hedwig once a week during both engagements.

"I’m thrilled to be returning to Hedwig and the Angry Inch performing not one, but two iconic roles in Los Angeles and my hometown of San Francisco," Hall said in a statement. "I have never been one to shy away from a challenge and playing Hedwig has always been a dream of mine. To be able to play both Yitzhak and Hedwig in the same day presents one of the biggest challenges I have seen to date and I’m so excited!"

Hall will play Hedwig on October 9, 12, 19, and 26 in San Francisco, and November 6, 13, 20, and 25 in Los Angeles.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch opened at Broadway's Belasco Theatre on April 22, 2014, and earned four Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. Written by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, the production is directed by Michael Mayer.
