Frederick Weller (Mothers and Sons) will play Eddie Carbone in the Los Angeles premiere of Ivo van Hove's Tony Award-winning production of A View From the Bridge this fall. The Young Vic staging of Arthur Miller's work will be presented by Center Theatre Group at the Ahmanson Theatre, September 7-October 16.

Weller will star alongside Catherine Combs (The Sensuality Party) as Catherine, as well as Binstock, Alex Esola, Andrus Nichols, Howard W. Overshown, Dave Register, and Thomas Jay Ryan. The scenic and lighting design is by Jan Versweyveld, costumes are by An D’Huys and sound is by Tom Gibbons.

Van Hove won a 2016 Tony Award for his direction of the drama, which premiered on Broadway in 2015 after acclaimed engagements at London's Young Vic and on the West End. That production, and the subsequent Broadway mounting, featured a cast headed by 2016 Tony nominee Mark Strong, alongside Phoebe Fox and Nicola Walker.
