Original star Ben Platt and the company of Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen have been nominated for a 2018 Daytime Emmy Award.

Platt and the cast are nominated in the category of Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program for their performance of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's "You Will Be Found" on NBC's Today Show. During the performance, Platt was joined by costars Laura Dreyfuss, Mike Faist, Rachel Bay Jones, Kristolyn Lloyd, Michael Park, Will Roland, and Jennifer Laura Thompson, as well as the show's standbys.

With a Tony-winning score by Pasek and Paul, and a Tony-winning book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "All his life Evan Hansen has felt invisible. To his peers, to the girl he loves, sometimes even to his own mother. But that was before he wrote the letter — that led to the incident — that started the lie — that ignited a movement — that inspired a community — and changed Evan's status from the ultimate outsider into the somebody everyone wants to know. But how long can Evan keep his secret? And at what price?"
