A host of Broadway and Hollywood veterans will appear in the January 13 benefit performance of One Starry Night: Hollywood and Broadway Come Together to Fight ALS. The event at the Pasadena Playhouse is coproduced by Juliana Hansen and Jonathan White, with the proceeds going to The ALS Association Golden West Chapter.
The concert will feature Academy Award-winning songwriter Richard M. Sherman, Kerry O'Malley, Amy Paffrath, Barry Pearl, Drew Seeley, Daniel Tatar, Bruce Vilanch, Obba Babatunde, James Barbour, Kay Cole, Daisy Eagan, Crow Garrett, Ilene Graff, Juliana Hansen, Melora Hardin, Jean Louisa Kelly, Jason and Nolan Livesay, Gary Morgan and The Flying Morgans, James Mulligan, Reagan Pasternak, Jonathan Pendragon, Joan Ryan, Rex Smith, Terri White, Terri Ivens, Kate Linder, and Charlene Tilton. Bruce Kimmel will direct the evening, with musical direction and orchestrations by Richard Allen.
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a disease of the brain and spinal cord often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease.
