Helen Mirren Set for January 17 Episode of Glee

Academy Award winner and stage star Helen Mirren will be heard as the “inner voice” of a character on the January 17 episode of FOX’s hit series, Glee, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series has not stated which character.


According to the site, the episode will be directed by actor Eric Stoltz and will also feature guest star Nene Leakes as swim coach Roz Washington.


Mirren’s many stage credits include Dance of Death and Phedre, She won the Academy Award for her performance in Stephen Frears’ The Queen and has received four Emmy Awards for her television work.


Glee stars Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr., Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Dot-Marie Jones, Mike O’Malley, Chord Overstreet, and Darren Criss.
