Book of Mormon National Tour to Play L.A.’s Pantages Theatre September 2012

The national tour of The Book of Mormon will play a 12-week engagement at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, September 5-November 12.


As previously reported, the tour will launch in Denver, August 14 – September 2, 2012. L.A. will be the tour’s second stop, and the musical will be the first show of the Broadway/L.A. 2012-2013 season at the Pantages.

The musical has been written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Tony Award winner Robert Lopez. It follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. The production is co-directed by Trey Parker and Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as the production’s choreographer.

The production features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus. Music direction and vocal arrangements are by Stephen Oremus.
