Varla Jean Merman to Launch New Show, The Loose Chanteuse, in Los Angeles in January

Varla Jean Merman will launch a tour of her new show, The Loose Chanteuse, at the Cavern Club Theatre in Silverlake CA, running January 6-15.

Subsequent engagements include Martinis Above Fourth in San Diego (January 22-23), Ars Nova in New York (February 17-27), Le Chat Noir in New Orleans (March 11-13), and The Rrazz Room in San Francisco (June 1-12). Additional schedule information will be announced in the near future.

The show will find the singular performer (a.k.a. Jeffrey Roberson) offering new saucy songs alongside a series of new videos, dazzling new dresses, and Tom Judson (a.k.a. Gus Mattox) on piano.

Varla Jean Merman’s previous shows include I’m Not Paying For This, Girl With A Pearl Necklace, An Act Of Love, Under A Big Top, Holiday Ham!, All Washed Up! and The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman. She has performed around the world including the Sydney Opera House, Australia as well as Carnegie Hall and has made numerous television appearances including a recurring role on All My Children as well as special appearances on Project Runway and Ugly Betty. She recently finished shooting her new feature film, Varla Jean & The Mushroomheads.
