Julianne Moore to Receive Santa Barbara Film Festival Montecito Award

Broadway veteran Julianne Moore will receive the Santa Barbara Film Festival Montecito Award on Feburay 11, according to a report in Variety.

The award recognizes a performer who has given a series of classic and standout performances. It has previously been presented to Kate Winslet, Javier Bardem, Naomi Watts, and Annette Bening, who was the very first recipient in 2005.

Moore has appeared on stage in The Vertical Hour and Vanya on 42nd Street. The actress can currently be seen on the big screen in A Single Man. She received Oscar nominations for Far From Heaven, The Hours, The End of the Affair, and Boogie Nights.
