Neighborhood Playhouse Announces 2009 Season

Neighborhood Playhouse has announced the line-up for its 2009 season, set to feature the west coast premiere of a play by Charles Busch, and a Tony Award nominated musical.

Busch’s Our Leading Lady will run February 19-March 8, with Brady Schwind at the helm. The week the Civil War Ends, legendary actress Laura Keene’s only ambition is to have President Lincoln attend her closing night performance at the Ford’s Theatre.

This season will also include the Barry Harman-Keith Herrmann tuner, Romance/Romance, July 19-July 26. This Tony nominated musical will be directed by Brady Schwind with musical direction by David Sateren and choreography by Imara Quinonez. Made up of two distinctive one-acts, the musical explores the highs and lows of love with The Little Comedy and Summer Share.
