JoAnne Worley to Join L.A.’s Wicked on January 9

JoAnne Worley will take over the role of Madame Morrible in the Los Angeles production of the hit musical Wicked on Wednesday, January 9.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel, Wicked features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

Worley starred in the Broadway production of The Drowsy Chaperone,
the City Center Encores! production of Follies, and in the Actors’ Fund benefit performance of On the Twentieth Century. Her many other stage credits include Hello, Dolly!, Grease, Gypsy, and Mame; she is best known as one of the original stars of Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.
