Tom Wopat to Join Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, et al. in Django Unchained Film

Two-time Tony nominee Tom Wopat will join the previously reported Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Lapaglia, and Kerry Washington in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film, Django Unchained, according to a report in Variety.


Also announced to appear in the film are Todd Allen, James Remar, and James Russo. The movie will focus on Django (played by Foxx), a freed slave, who teams with a German bounty hunter to take on an evil plantation owner.

Wopat received Tony nominations for his performances in A Catered Affair and Annie Get Your Gun. Among his other Broadway credits are Catch Me If You Can, Sondheim on Sondheim, Glengarry Glen Ross, and 42nd Street. He may be best known for his role as Luke Duke on the long-running CBS series, The Dukes of Hazzard.
