Roger Bart, Michael O’Keefe, Bradley Whitford to Star in Pasadena Playhouse’s Art

Roger Bart and Michael O’Keefe will join the previously reported Bradley Whitford in Pasadena Playhouse’s production of Yasmina Reza’s Art. David Lee will direct the production, to be presented January 24 – February 19, with an opening on January 29.

Written by Yasmina Reza, the play concerns three friends whose relationship is tested once one of them drops a small fortune on a controversial painting.

The production will feature scenic design by Tom Buderwitz, lighting design by Jared Sayeg, and costume design by Kate Bergh.

Bart, who will play Yvan, won the Tony Award for You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and has also starred on Broadway in Young Frankenstein, Triumph of Love, The Producers and The Frogs.

O’Keefe, who will play Serge, won a Theatre World Award for his performance in Mass Appeal, with other Broadway credits including Reckless, Side Man, Fifth of July, and Luv. He is perhaps best known for this film and television work in Caddyshack, Roseanne, and Michael Clayton.

Whitford, who will play Marc, is best known for his television roles on The West Wing, for which he won an Emmy, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Good Guys, and The Mentalist. His Broadway credits include A Few Good Men and Boeing Boeing.
