Reprise Theatre Company Cancels Upcoming Production of The Baker’s Wife

Reprise Theatre Company has canceled its production of The Baker’s Wife, which as previously reported, was to have run February 14-26. The company’s production of The Apple Tree, will be performed as previously announced, running April 17-29.

In an official statement regarding the cancellation, Reprise managing director Christine Bernardi Weil said, “Despite outstanding critical and audience response to our recent productions, our projected income – ticket sales and donations – has not been enough to allow us to produce The Baker’s Wife.

Weil continued, “Cancelling the production, and providing a refund to our ticket holders, is the most responsible way for us to solve the situation and ensure that we can continue with the rest of the season and beyond.”

Subscribers and other tickets holders for The Baker’s Wife are currently being contacted to arrange refunds or donate the “The Baker’s Wife” portion of season tickets.
