Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Terrence Howard et al. to Present American Giving Awards

Theater veterans Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Terrence Howard will be among the presenters at the first-ever American Giving Awards (AGAs), which will be held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. NBC will broadcast the ceremony on Saturday, December 10 at 8pm ET. Bob Costas will host.

Ferguson many stage credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, On the Town, The Merchant of Venice, and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. He plays the role of Mitchell Pritchett on ABC’s Modern Family. Howard made his Broadway debut as Brick in the 2008 revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and received an Oscar nomination for his work in Hustle & Flow.

Presenters will also include actress/singer Miley Cyrus, Dancing With The Stars winner J.R. Martinez, actress and former model Gabrielle Union, and Miss USA Alyssa Campanella.

The AGAs, which are presented by Chase, are the first-ever televised celebrity tribute to community heroes, offering five charities an opportunity to share in $2 million in Chase grants so they may continue their work in helping others.

The finalists to be honored at the AGAs include Let’s Get Ready, Inc., of New York, NY; To Write Love on Her Arms, of Cocoa, FL; Wish Upon a Hero Foundation, Inc., of Moorestown, NJ; Move for Hunger, Inc., of Neptune, NJ; and Matthew Shepard Foundation, of Casper, WY.
