Ed Asner will perform his acclaimed one-man show FDR at a benefit for The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, entitled The Stars Come Out for Theatricum. The event will be held at the Mountain Mermaid in Topanga, California, on Sunday, November 20 at 3:30pm.

Based upon Dore Schary’s Broadway hit Sunrise at Campobello, the piece explores the life of one of America’s best-loved presidents and the events and decisions that shaped a nation.

There will be a post-performance discussion led by Rose Eichenbaum, author of The Actor Within: Intimate Conversations with Great Actors. In addition to Asner, participants in the discussion will include Hector Elizondo, Ed Harris, Piper Laurie and Amanda Plummer, who were all interviewed for Eichenbaum’s book.
