November 16 Glee to Feature Songs from Chicago and Singin’ in the Rain

The November 16 episode of the hit series Glee will feature songs from the hit musical Chicago and the legendary MGM film Singin’ in the Rain.

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, who will guest star, and Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison, who plays Will Scheuester on the series, will perform a mash-up of Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed’s Singin’ in the Rain and the pop hit Umbrella, made famous by Rihanna. In addition, Morrison will also perform “Make ‘Em Laugh” from the MGM film.

Paltrow and series co-star Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, will do a medley of “Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag,” which is the closing number of the musical Chicago on the episode.


The cast of Glee also features Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Jayma Mays, Naya Rivera, Chord Overstreet, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Dianna Agron, Darren Criss, and Mark Salling.
