Gary Cole Signs On for Recurring Role in HBO's Veep

Gary Cole, who recently starred Off-Broadway in the Signature Theatre Company's world-premiere production of Sam Shepard's Heartless, will play a recurring role on the new season of HBO's Veep, according to Deadline.com.

He will be portraying Kent, described as "a Karl Rove-type character."

In addition to Heartless, Cole's many theater credits include August: Osage County, Superior Donuts, American Buffalo, Flyovers and Balm in Gilead. His film and television credits include The Gift, A Simple Plan, The Brady Bunch Movie, Midnight Caller, and The Good Wife.
