Maile Flanagan, Laurie Metcalf, French Stewart to Reprise Roles in Justin Tanner’s Voice Lessons

Maile Flanagan, Laurie Metcalf, and French Stewart will reprise their roles in Justin Tanner’s Voice Lessons, when the show makes a return engagement at Whitefire Theatre, October 21-November 6. Bart Delorenzo directs the production.

The comedy tells the story of the unlikely romance between a deluded community theatre actress and the overeducated vocal coach she hires to make her a star.

The production will feature set & light design by Gary Guidinger and light design by John Sylvain.

Flanagan won an Emmy for Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks in 2006, and was nominated a second time for the same series in 2007. She is currently appearing at the Odyssey Theatre in Justin Tanner’s new comedy, Day Drinkers.

Metcalf received a Tony nomination for her performance in November, and won Drama Desk and Theatre World Awards for the 1985 Off-Broadway production of Balm in Gilead. She is best known for her Emmy Award-winning role as Jackie on the sitcom Roseanne.

Stewart is best known for his role as Harry Solomon on Third Rock from the Sun. He previously appeared in Tanner’s plays, Pot Mom, Party Mix and Happy Times Xmas, with other theater credits includig Geffen Playhouse production of Matthew Modine Saves the Alpacas.
