Gloria Hendry’s Glamour Girls to Play Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center

Glamour Girls, a new play written and directed by Gloria Hendry.,will play the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, October 28-November 19.

Set in 1967, the autobiographically-inspired; play focuses on Gwen Brown as she escapes a life of desperation by trading on her ability to dance. She is soon swept up by money and glamour in New York City, until she realizes her future lies outside of the high life.

The cast will include Bobak Bakhtiari, Mandela Bellamy, Bonita Brisker, Larney Johnson, III, Siri Dyal, Julio Hanson, Darlene Ann Harris, Anna Karakhanova, Delka Nenkova and Perry “Winkle” Williams.

Hendry acted in such films as for The Love of Ivy, Black Caesar and Live and Let Die. She is also an author.
