Glee Project‘s Hannah Mclalwain, Lin-Manuel Miranda, et al. to Participate in "Bring It On: The Musical" Day at Universal CityWalk

Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda will participate in “Bring It On: The Musical” Day at Universal CityWalk, on Saturday, October 22.

The event’s guest hosts will include KIIS FM’s JoJo, Telemundo’s Jorge Bernal and Hannah Mclalwain, who was a contestant on Oxygen’s The Glee Project.
It will celebrate the national tour of Bring It On the Musical, which kicks off with an engagement at the Ahmanson Theatre, October 30- December 11.


Andy Blankenbuehler will direct and choreograph the production, which features a book by Jeff Whitty, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Amanda Green. The show unfolds in the high-stakes world of competitive cheerleading.

Highlights of the CityWalk events will include a Traveling pep rally from Universal Globe Fountain to 5 Towers at 11:45am, a high school cheer squad routine at Noon; Miranda addressing the crowd and introducing the cast at 12:45pm, and performances by the cast at 1pm and 3pm.

As previously reported, the principal cast will feature Taylor Louderman (Campbell), Adrienne Warren (Danielle), Ryann Redmond (Bridget), Elle McLemore (Eva), Jason Gotay (Randall), Ariana DeBose (Nautica), Gregory Haney (La Cienega), Neil Haskell (Steven), Janet Krupin (Kylar), Kate Rockwell (Skylar) and Nick Womack (Twig).

The company will also include Calli Alden, Nikki Bohne, Dexter Carr, Shonica Gooden, Haley Hannah, Rod Harrelson, Casey Jamerson, Dominique Johnson, Michael Mindlin, Adrianna Parson, Bettis Richardson, Antwan Bethea, Danielle Carlacci, Michael Naone-Carter, Courtney Corbeille, Dahlston Delgado, Brooklyn A. Freitag, Melody Mills, David Ranck, Billie Sue Roe, Sheldon Tucker and Lauren Whitt.

Following the LA engagement, tour stops will include the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco (December 14 – January 7), the Buell Theatre in Denver (January 10-21), the Hobby Center in Houston (January 24 – February 5), the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville (February 7-12), the Music Hall in Dallas (February 14-26), the Civic Center in Des Moines (February 28 – March 4), the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago (March 6-25), the Fox Theatre in St. Louis (March 27 – April 6), the Belk Theatre in Charlotte (April 10-15), the DPAC in Durham (April 17-22), and the PPAC in Providence (April 24-29).
