Actor-Director Paul Kent Has Died

Actor/director Paul Kent has died after a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma, according to a report in Variety. He was 80.

Kent’s stage credits include productions of Guys and Dolls, The Price, Fiddler on the Roof, Father’s Day, Otherwise Engaged, and Mamma’s House. In addition, he was founder and artistic director of the original Melrose Theatre.

Among his film and television credits are The West Wing, Frasier, Hotel, Lou Grant, Hawaii Five-O, Return to Babylon, and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
