The new musical Leap of Faith, opened on Sunday, October 3 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Rob Ashford has directed and choreographed the production. Based on the movie of the same name, the show features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book written by Janus Cercone with Slater.

Among the opening night guests were Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Lolita Davidovich, Wanda de Jesus, Brooke Elliott, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Henchy, Adriane Lenox, Dawnn Lewis, Mario Lopez, Courtney Laine Mazza, Ben McKenzie, Matthew Morrison, Garry Shandling, Jimmy Smits, Abigail Spencer, Eric Stonestreet, Susan Sullivan, Ben Vereen, and Vanessa Williams.

The production stars Raul Esparza, Brooke Shields, Nicholas Barasch, Jarrod Emick, Kendra Kassebaum, Kecia Lewis-Evans, and Leslie Odom, Jr.

The ensemble is comprised of Brad Anderson, Bradley Benjamin, Tom Berklund, Christopher Bones, Krystal Joy Brown, Ta'Rea Campbell, Eric L. Christian, Michelle Duffy, Harvey Evans, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Jennie Ford, Bob Gaynor, Angela Grovey, Shannon Lewis, Michael X. Martin, Maurice Murphy, Anise E.
