Carol Channing to Be Honored at A Celebration of Caring

Actors for Others and Animals will honor Broadway legend Carol Channing at A Celebration of Caring, to be held at 11am on Saturday, November 15 at the Universal Hilton and Tower Ballroom in Universal City. Channing, who recently fractured her hip, will attend the event.
Celebrity participants will include the group’s president, JoAnne Worley, as well as Betty White, Dick Van Dyke, Tippi Hedren, Carole Cooke, and Bruce Vilanch.
Channing won the Tony Award for Hello, Dolly! and also appeared on Broadway in The Vamp, Lend an Ear, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She received an Oscar nomination for Thoroughly Modern Millie.
