Keach will play Senator Thoroughgood, a wheelchair-bound, racist, sexist, bigoted senator who is being honored for 50 years of service in the Senate.

He was most recently on Broadway in Other Desert Cities and his many stage credits include King Lear, The Kentucky Cycle, Hamlet, Indians, and MacBird. He received an Emmy Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Hemingway.
