Peter Husmann, Steve Gunderson, Dan Callaway Set for Cabrillo Music Theatre’s 1776
Cabrillo Music Theatre is set to present Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone’s 1776, October 19-28 in the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Nick Degruccio will direct, with musical direction by Steven Applegate.
1776 follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Richard Henry Lee, and Thomas Jefferson as they attempt to convince the members of the second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence.
The cast will be lead by Peter Husmann (John Adams), Steve Gunderson (Benjamin Franklin), Dan Callaway (Thomas Jefferson), and Michael Andrew Baker (John Dickinson) and will also feature Gary Saxer (as Robert Livingston), Steve Perren (as Roger Sherman), Ronald Rezac (as Ceasar Rodney), Nick Marinoff (Josiah Bartlett), and Christanna Rowader (Abigail Adams).
