Alexandra Billings, Drew Droege, Sam Pancake Set for LA Valley of the Dolls Reading
A one-night only staged reading of Helen Deutsch and Dorothy Kingsley’s screenplay for the classic 1967 film Valley of the Dolls will be held Thursday, September 27 at Los Angeles’ Sacred Fools Theater.
Sean Abley will produces and direct the evening, which will benefit his 2013 AIDS/Lifecycle fundraising efforts.
The cast includes Sam Pancake (Neely), Danny Casillas (Mel and others), Drew Droege (Jennifer), Matt Valle (Anne), Thomas Colby-Dog (Tony and others), Brad Griffith (Lyon), David Razowsky (various roles), and Alexandra Billings (Helen).
Based on the 1966 novel by Jacqueline Susann, Valley of the Dolls follows three women from the heights of fame to the lows of self-destruction.
