Sandra Bernhard, Kathie Lee Gifford, Sean Hayes to Guest Star on Hot in Cleveland

Theater veterans Sandra Bernhard, Kathie Lee Gifford, and Sean Hayes will guest star in the upcoming season of TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, according to reports on EW.com and New York Magazine.

Bernhard, who will be playing the love interest of Melanie’s lesbian sister, has written and performed the stage shows, Without You, I’m Nothing, I’m Still Here… Damn It, The Love Machine, Excuses for Bad Behavior, and Everything Bad and Beautiful. Her many film credits include Hudson Hawk and The King of Comedy.

Gifford, who will be playing the host of Cleveland’s local talk show, appeared on Broadway in Putting It Together, and co-authored the musical Under the Bridge. She is currently a co-host of NBC’s Today Show and is well known for her work on the daytime series Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee.

Hayes, who will be playing a hand model and potential love interest for one of the show’s female leads, recently starred on Broadway in Promises, Promises, earning a Tony Award nomination for his performance. He was also seen in Damn Yankees for City Center’s Encores! series. He is best known for his Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Jack on NBC’s Will and Grace, and is also one of the producers of Hot in Cleveland.
