Michelle Williams to Be Honored at Hollywood Film Awards in October

Michelle Williams will be honored with the Hollywood Actress Award at the 15th annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The event will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on October 24.


Williams is being honored for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in Simon Curtis’ My Week With Marilyn, her turn as a 19th century frontierswoman in Meek’s Cutoff, and as a 21st century wife tempted by adultery in Take This Waltz.

Her stage credits include Killer Joe and Smelling a Rat. In addition, she has received Academy Award nominations for her work in Brokeback Mountain and Blue Valentine. Among her other film credits are Imaginary Heroes, I’m Not There, Wendy and Lucy, Synecdoche, New York, and Shutter Island.

As previously reported, the event will also honor stage veterans Jessica Chastain, Felicity Jones, and Christopher Plummer, along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the ensemble of The Help.
