[Inside] the Ford Announces Guest Company Presentations for 2011-2012 Season

PAE Live!, Furious Theatre Company and Circle X Theatre Co. have been selected to present three new plays at [Inside] the Ford in 2011-2012.

The season will begin with Lonnie Carter’s The Romance of Magno Rubio, which PAE Live! will present in rep with Ang Romansa ni Magno Rubio, Bernardo Bernadro’s new translation of the play into Tagalog. The piece, adapted from a short story by Carlos Bulosan, centers on a love struck Filipino migrant worker in 1930s California. Bernardo will direct the productions, which will run November 4 – December 11.

Furious Theatre Company’s offering at the venue will be Matt Pelfrey’s No Good Deed (January 21 – February 26). Dámaso Rodriguez will direct the play which explores how news and media hype undermine the efforts of real-life heroes.

In addition, Leo Geter’s Naked Before God will be presented by Circle X Theater Co. at [Inside] the Ford, running March 24 – April 28. The piece centers on a former adult B-movie queen who’s attempting to reconcile her past with a born again future.
