PHOTO FLASH: Barbra Streisand Toasts Longtime Manager Marty Erlichman

Award-winning entertainer Barbra Streisand hosted a celebration for her longtime manager, Marty Erlichman, on September 11 at her Malibu home. Streisand and Erlichman, who is turning 81, will be celebrating their 50th anniversary of working together next year.
Streisand performed two numbers for Erlichman at the party: “The Very Thought of You” to Erlichman, which Streisand said “[he] always wanted me to record, but I just never did,” as well as “The Way We Were,” with special lyrics by the song’s lyricists, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and accompaniment by the song’s composer, Marvin Hamlisch.
Guests at the celebration included Phyllis Diller, Don Rickles, Michael Eisner, George Foreman, Clive Davis, Ron Delsener, Walter Yetnikoff, and Michael Cohl.
