Erich Bergen, Rodrick Covington, Javier Muñoz, et al Set for Venice at Kirk Douglas Theatre

Kirk Douglas Theatre has announced complete casting for Eric Rosen and Matt Sax’s Venice, to run October 17-November 14. Rosen will direct the musical, which is a co-production with the Kansas City Repertory Theatre.

Venice will have choreography by John Carrafa and Tanisha Scott and music direction by Curtis Moore, who provides vocal arrangements and additional music.

Set in a not-too-distant future, the show focuses on two brothers who clash over how to save their city in the aftermath of a 20-year war.

The company will feature Uzo Aduba, Erich Bergen, Rodrick Covington, J.D. Goldblatt, Andrea Goss, Javier Muñoz, Victoria Platt, Angela Wildflower Polk, Matt Sax, Alexander Selma, Donald Webber, Jr. and Morgan Weed.

The creative team will include Meghan Raham (scenic and costume design), David Weiner (lighting design), Joshua Horvath (sound design, music production, incidental music), and Jason H. Thompson (projection design).
