Charles Dillingham will step down as managing director of Center Theatre Group (CTG) in June, 2011. He has served in the position for 20 years.

During his tenure at the theater, Dillingham has overseen the renovations of the organization’s Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum, as well as the opening of the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. In addition, he has been responsible for managing CTG’s finances, marketing and administrative activities, during periods of tremendous growth as well as economic contraction, working with two artistic directors — Gordon Davidson and Michael Ritchie.

Dillingham will work with Ritchie, the board and the CTG staff to assist in the transition to new management. CTG will begin a national search for a new managing director in the near future.
