Lauren Ambrose, Kate Burton, Edie Falco, Mark Ruffalo, et al. Set for LATW Season

L.A. Theatre Works has announced its 2009-2010 season of plays at the Skirball Cultural Center, to be presented as part of their “The Play’s The Thing” radio series.

A higlight of the series will be the world premiere of RFK: The Journey to Justice by Murray Horwitz and Jonathan Estrin, to be directed by John Rubinstein, which will debut in March.

The season will begin with Once in a Lifetime by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, starring Edward Asner and Jonathan Silverman (October 21-25). It will be followed by Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde by Moises Kaufman, starring Simon Templeman and John Vickery (November 18-22); and Crumbs from the Table of Joy by Lynn Nottage, starring Russell Hornsby, Deidrie Henry, and Charlayne Woodard (Decemeber 9-13).

Up next will be Awake and Sing! by Clifford Odets, starring Mark Ruffalo and Lauren Ambrose (January 13-17); The Savannah Disputation by Evan Smith, starring Bruce Davison (February 17-21); The Constant Wife by W. Somerset Maugham, starring Kate Burton, John de Lancie, and Rosalind Ayres (Apil 14-18); Side Man by Warren Leight, starring Edie Falco and Frank Wood (May 12-16); She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith, starring James Marsters and Roy Dotrice (June 16-20); and Doctor Cerberus by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, starring Adam Arkin and JoBeth Williams (July 14-18).
