Full Cast Announced for Nathan Sander’s The Sugar Bean Sisters

Full cast and creative team have been announced for Nathan Sander’s The Sugar Bean Sisters, playing at the Sierra Madre Playhouse October 10-November 15. Kirk White will direct.

In the play, Faye and Willie May Nettles are spinster sisters from Sugar Bean, Florida, a rural community within driving distance from Walt Disney World. While one sister claims to have been visited by aliens in flying saucers twenty years ago, the other is pining to marry a nice Mormon man so that she can eventually reach the Celestial Kingdom.

The cast features Nathan Cambridge, Marcia deRousse, Leslie Ezeh, Laci Greenfield-Sosa, Karen Kahler, Terry Savior, and Pattie Tierce. The design team will include David Calhoun (sets), Kristen Cox (lighting), Lois Tedrow (costume), Barry Schwam( sound), and Anne Mariw Atwan ( properties).

The Sugar Bean Sisters was originally produced in 1995. Other plays by Sanders include Divine Fruit, The Sugar Witch, Little By Little, andThe Amazing Adventures of Della The Dwarf .
