Ana Gasteyer to Direct Hanna LoPatin’s The Sound of One Hanna Clapping

Ana Gasteyer will direct Hanna LoPatin’s autobiographical one woman show, The Sound of One Hanna Clapping, at the Comedy Central Stage at the Hudson, October 14-16, and IO West Theatre, October 16.

LoPatin will recount snippets of her life with everything from childhood ballet rehearsals to adventures at the theatre department at the University of Michigan in a series of sketches. Gasteyer directed the New York Fringe Festival production of The Sound of One Hanna Clapping in August, and it also played Chicago’s Apollo Studio Theatre.

Lopatin has performed in many sketch and improv shows around Chicago, and she has also trained at the Second City Conservatory, Second City Writing Program, I.O. (formerly Improv Olympic), and the Annoyance Theater. Well known for her work on Saturday Night Live, Gasteyer’s Broadway credits include The Rocky Horror Show, Wicked, and The Threepenny Opera and her other credits include The Vagina Monologues and Funny Girl.
