Sunil Kumar, Aparna Sindhoor, Raghu Narayanan Set for East West Players’ Encounter

East West Players will present the dance theatre piece Encounter, running September 6-October 7 at the David Henry Hwang Theater. The work features music by Isaac Thomas Kottukapally and is written by Aparna Sindhoor, S.M. Raju, and Anil Natyaveda, with direction and choreography by Sindhoor and Natyaveda.

Encounter is based on a story about an indigenous woman, inspired by the work of writer Mahasweta Devi. Sunil Kumar, Aparna Sindhoor, Raghu Narayanan, Anil Natyaveda, Suvarna Raj, and Leah Vincent perform the work.

The creative team includes Tesshi Nakagawa (scenic coordinator) and Jeremy Pivnick (lighting designer).
