Bend in the Road to Play the Carrie Hamilton Theatre

Bend in the Road, Benita Scheckel and Michael Upward’s new family musical based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, will play a limited engagement at the Pasadena Playhouse‘s Carrie Hamilton Theatre, September 14-October 7. Scheckel will direct the production.

The musical follows orphan Anne Shirley, who is mistakenly adopted by brother and sister Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert to help on their farm. As Anne grows up, her intelligence and imagination helps change the lives of people in her small town.

The cast will feature Christopher Callen, Ty Freedman, Christopher Higgins, Justine Huxley, James Jaeger, Don Margolin, Melinda Porto, Kate Sullivan, Kailey Swanson, and Alison Woods, as well as Cade Anderson, Zoe Berger-Davis, Mariella D’avirro, Kaitlyn Hammer, and Cheri McKenzie.

The production will feature choreography by Kevin Lee, scenic art by Gary White, lighting by Darrell Clark, costume design by Liz Dickson, and sound design by Julie Ferrin.
