Bonnie Franklin and Stephanie Zimbalist will lead the cast of Rubicon Theatre Company’s production of Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias, to run August 24-September 18, with an opening on August 27. Jenny Sullivan will direct.

Zimbalist, who will play M’Lynn, is well known for playing Laura Holt on the TV series Remington Steele, with her many theater credits including such diverse works as The Subject Was Roses, The Cherry Orchard, Follies, A Little Night Music, and Tea at Five.

The cast will also feature Amy Handelman (Shelby), Clarinda Ross (Truvy), and Von Rae Wood (Clairee).
