The Wooster Group’s Vieux Carré Part of REDCAT’s Fall Season

REDCAT has announced its fall performance series, which will include an appearance by The Wooster Group, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times. The company will be at the venue with the U.S. premiere of Vieux Carré, a multimedia deconstruction of Tennessee Williams’ play of the same name, which will run December 1-12.

Other theater offerings at REDCAT will include In the Solitude of Cotton Fields (September 23-26) by the Radoslaw Rychcik/Stefan Zeromski Theatre; Reverend Billy and the Life After Shopping Gospel Choir (October 21); Venlo (November 17-21) from the Dutch ensemble group Wunderbaum; and Show Your Face! (January 19-23) from Betontanc and Umka.lv.

Among the dance offerings at REDCAT will be Sardona Dance Theater’s Rain Coloring Forest (September 16-19), which is created in collaboration with lighting artist Jennifer Tipton; Tere O’Connor’s Wrought Iron Fog (October 14-17); and How Can You Stay in the House All Day and Not Go Anywhere (November 10-14), from Ralph Lemon/Cross Performance. In addition, a restaging of Trisha Brown’s Set and Reset will be seen as part of the CalArts Winter Dance program (December 17-18).
