Glee Wins Top Honors at TCA Awards

The hit FOX series Glee won awards for Program of the Year, Outstanding New Program, and Individual Achievement in Comedy for actress Jane Lynch at the Television Critics Association’s annual TCA Awards, which were held on Saturday, July 31 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Theater veteran Julianna Margulies, who stars in CBS’s The Good Wife, received the award for Individual Achievement in Drama, while James Garner received an award for career achievement.

Additional awards went to ABC’s Modern Family for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy; ABC’s Lost and AMC’s Breaking Bad, which tied for Outstanding Achievement in Drama; Discovery’s Life for Outstanding Achievement in News & Information; Nick Jr.’s Yo Gabba Gabba for Outstanding Achievement in Youth Programming; HBO’s The Pacific for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries & Specials; and CBS’s Mash, which received the Heritage Award.

The Television Critics Association represents more than 200 journalists writing about television for print and online outlets in the United States and Canada.
