Indie musician Ego Plum to Provide Original Songs for Gogol Project

Indie musician Ego Plum will provide the original score and songs for the Rogue Artists Ensemble’s production of Gogol Project, to play at the Bootleg Theater, September 19-November 1. Sean T. Cawelti will direct.

Gogol, Kitty Felde’s adaptation of Diary of a Madman, The Overcoat, and The Nose, will combine live performance with puppetry, masks and digital projection. The company features Don Allen, Tom Ashworth, Kristopher Bicknell, Keith Ellis, Estela Garcia, Joel Jiminez, Ben Messmer, Audrey Moore, Nina J. Silver, Miles Taber, April Warren and Jesse Weinberg.

Wes Crain, Lena Garcia, Elizabeth Luce and Brian White will design puppets for the production, while Pat Rubio will provide mask design. The creative team also includes scenic designer Katie Polebaum, costume designer Kerry Hennessy, lighting designer Haylee Freeman, sound designer John Nobori, and video designer Brian White.
