Buyer & Cellar Star Michael Urie to Cohost Barbra Night as Part of Musical Mondays Los Angeles

Drama Desk Award-winning Buyer & Cellar star Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) will cohost Barbra Night: A Musical Tribute to Barbra Streisand on July 21 at Los Angeles' Eleven Nightclub.

Buyer & Cellar, which will run at Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum through August 17, follows struggling L.A. actor Alex More, who takes a job at the real-life, private, high-end mall that exists beneath Barbra Streisand's Malibu compound.

The live Barbra Streisand tribute performance joins the Musical Mondays Los Angeles series, a weekly celebration of musical theater in West Hollywood. The series, which has been running every Monday evening for over five years, is produced and hosted by Ryan O'Connor (Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star) and features V.J. Keith Jacobson, who plays videos from Broadway and movie musicals. Past Musical Mondays LA performers have included Marissa Jaret Winokur, Shoshana Bean, Lilias White, Eden Espinosa, Barrett Foa, Nikki M. James, Terri White, Allison Case, Keala Settle, Todrick Hall, and more. Admission to Musical Mondays Los Angeles is free.
